I’ve been a bit shoddy of late keeping this site up to date (hey, that rhymes, lol) so here is the latest on Book 3 as posted by Abel Sarpe from Sao Paulo in October 2016. I wonder what other wonderful locations the book has travelled through since it was last seen in Hong Kong!

I’ve been wondering where one of my books would turn up next and now, thanks to YOU, I know it’s been to Australia and Brazil. I love your idea of everyone who writes in it meeting up one day. You never know, it just might happen. Happy Travels my friend! And happy travels to you too, Fernando Guiltieri, as you head back ‘down under’ – G’day mate!”

Book 3 - #SendMyBook

Book 3 – #SendMyBook

Hi there, me again! I haven’t posted in a while but then again, there hasn’t been any news. But now…I HAVE NEWS!

I’ve just learned that Book #3 has been on a wonderful tour of South East Asia.

Is it weird that I’m jealous of an inanimate object?

A lovely lady, Katie Hargreaves, who just happens to be an actor and a singer, found Book #3 in France while working there. From there, she took it home to England and I’m so excited to know that it made its way to my country of birth. She then began a month-long trip through Qatar, The Philippines, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Okay the fact that Book #3 has actually been to Hong Kong twice is really adding to my jealousy πŸ˜‰

One day, maybe, I’ll be lucky enough to travel in some of the footsteps of my book to:

Linapacan – made top of the list of the 35 clearest waters to swim in before you die, a population of only about 15,000, plenty of cashew trees (yum!)

Kuching, or Cat City to the locals – known to be the cleanest city in Malaysia

Check out The Route section of my site to see all the stops each book has made.

Thanks again for following along. Ever so gradually, the story of each book’s journey is unfolding and I can’t wait to turn the next page.

A Glimmer of Hope

Book 3 – #SendMyBook

These last few months, I’ve really been losing hope about this website and those feelings have increased over the last couple of weeks.

The back story: I left Book #3 in Amalfi, Italy in August 2014 with a lovely couple from New Zealand who were visiting with their daughter who lives in England. It’s almost a year later with no word of its whereabouts.

I began to question why I started this project/blog. Why would people think it was a cool idea to send a blank journal around the world for anyone to write in? Continue reading

Well, it’s that time again. Time to go looking for my books. Book #1 was last seen in Taormina, Sicily, book #2 in Alaska and book #3 in Amalfi, Italy.

So, my trip is all booked for this summer and I’m soooooo excited, I can’t wait. Imagine if I actually found one of them. That would prove just how small a world we live in, wouldn’t it?

Any guesses as to where I might be going? Here’s a clue:Screen Shot 2015-03-18 at 9.58.31 PM

Book 3 – #SendMyBook

Book 3 – #SendMyBook heading out into the world. This one, unlike Books 1 and 2, will be hand-delivered by me and my daughter Shay and released into the wild somewhere along our travels through Italy.

Is it merely a coincidence that Book 1 was found in Rome by Luca back in 2012? Perhaps it’s still there and will show up serendipitously in a photo of Shay by the Trevi Fountain. How cool would that be?

So, you see, there’s a lot of pressure on Book 3 because I fear Book 2 has been dropped in a lake in BC….:(

Ciao for now!!
